While La Clarté positions itself as a wine meant to refresh, Haut-Brion makes it clear from the outset that it is here to convince, to thrill, to inspire dreams! It doesn’t rely on the artifices of hot vintages — it “just” carries the DNA of its terroir and its winemakers (which, by the way, means a great deal!). The olfactory depth, which opens the door to countless nuances without favoring any single one, speaks volumes about the extraordinary resources of this cru. On the palate, it’s also finesse and precision that set the tone, with tension and substance acting as the conductor. The symbiosis between its noble character — it’s a monarch — and the energy of its youth make it a worthy candidate to grace the Hall of Fame of Haut-Brion’s white wines. – Yves Beck
